Many of you know Tom Morgan. He’s an absolutely fabulous, understated rock and has kindly taken a promotion to Associate Director. I’m not sure if Tom built his brand around Chartdev or Chartdev built our brand around him. Either way, integrity, common decency, hard work, creative thinking and calm leadership all spring to mind. As Head of Client Services, the last few months have been the busiest of his career.
It’s people that make Chartered Developments so special. Not only are our clients amazing people but our staff are too.
Here are a few snippets of Tom’s career with us to date.
- 2005 Started as a caller (from James Hay Pension Trustees). Thrown in at the deep end working on the Baker Tilly Corporate Finance Programmes. The topic was AIM listing. He was really good at it.
- 2007 Promoted to assistant Account Manager. Baker Tilly, Dickinson Dees and Capita were three of Tom’s responsibilities.
- 2009 Promoted to Key Account Manager. One of Tom’s clients used his research and intelligence to justify opening a brand-new office in Hertfordshire. A huge success.
- 2017 Promoted to Head of Client Services. With an extended remit to support our drive into North America where BDO have become our largest North American client.
- 2020 LOCKDOWN – In effect Tom runs the turmoil that for a few months was our client ship. Hugely stormy weather made calm by the calmest man in Devon, if not the world.
