Corporate Finance – A Sector Based Approach
The Client
A large firm of Chartered Accountants based in the North West (a UK Top 50 company).
Corporate finance specialists.
Over 20 Partners across two local offices.

The Brief
To arrange quality appointments between new client prospects and the visiting Partners. During the preliminary calls, other data to be collected includes personal email addresses of significant decision makers. Relevant company details such as size, structure and financial information is also collected and entered onto the database. Mailings are promptly followed with telephone marketing for best effect.

The Services
Mergers and acquisitions, MBO’s and MBI’s, raising finance and re-financing, Disposals, Succession planning, Exit strategy, Tax and due diligence.

The Target
Ltd or Plc companies or holding companies. Sector specific data – defined by each individual campaign. Companies with qualifying turnover of over £2 million. National reach.

Campaign 1
The data was divided to separate the target industry sectors. Each sector was called in sequence for 2-3 months following an initial mailshot primer:
• Personal injury lawyers
• Recruitment companies
• Timber merchants
• Builders
• Electricians

Campaign 2
Running alongside campaign 1. To introduce general accounting and audit capabilities and raise brand awareness. Geographically restricted to local companies of qualifying size, provided on a separate database.

The Result
Increased awareness of the degree of effectiveness in marketing to the different sectors. Additional ‘warm’ prospects added to regional mailing list and raised awareness of the brand. Several corporate finance and Accounts related signings of over £5000.
